But I do like the batteries. I bought a combo kit four months ago that included one P103 battery. I have used the impact driver to build a picnic table and it is still on the original charge. I bought this P126 kit today at Home Depot for $59 because I wanted a second battery and I like this charger style better than the one that came in the combo kit. So far, I'm pretty impressed with Ryobi's One+ lithium tools, but that is based solely on the 18v impact driver and the compact battery.

This is a great kit for anyone with Ryobi One+ tools and has the bulky, low AmpHr Ni-Cad batteries and wants to upgrade. The battery carries the same AmpHr rating as the Ni-Cad w/ a lower profile and a little more than half the weight. It operates more efficiently as lithi's provide "fade free" power to the end rather than the gradual drop-off of Ni-Cad batteries. The Intelliport charger is larger than many other 18v chargers on the market but does a great job charging both Ni-Cad and Li-Ion batteries, and indicating a defective battery, flashing green light while charging and steady green when full.

*99% of the time the BORG store sells this kit (and almost ALL Ryobi/Ridgid) at a lower price, sometimes MUCH lower.

The batteries are junk. They do not hold a charge any better than the old batteries, cost more and won't charge under 50d. What a wonderful combo that is. To top it off , they will be dead in a year from once a month use. Never ever EVER again. I will throw the tools away before I give Ryobi another penny. Junk is too polite for these batteries, and the aloofness of Ryobi is even worse.
