I bought the 12v drill with 2 of these batteries and both batteries would not hold a charge within six months... the drill was great but the batteries are not worth replacing..I would not have given these batteries one star unless I had to to make this post..
Save your money and buy an 18v drill

I bought the drill for less than the replacement price of the batteries. These use cheap Chinese 1.2volt cells and they last less than a year. Don't buy replacement batteries for these drills....just buy a better cordless.

This review is from: Ryobi 130269012 12-Volt Ni-Cd Battery (Tools & Home Improvement)
I purchased a 12v Ryobi drill kit from Home Depot for less than the cost of a replacement battery. The kit included the drill, TWO Ni-Cd batteries, battery charger, a small box of various bits and a plastic case. The drill and batteries performed as advertised. However, both batteries quit holding a charge at the same time, shortly after the warranty period expired. Having paid less for the previously described drill kit than what suppliers are charging for a single replacement battery is the reason I rate it only one star.
