Overview
Ridgid R86006 27253 18-volt compact lithium ion drill. This 18-volt lithium-ion compact drill features a 1/2-inch single sleeve locking carbide chuck that tightens bits quickly and securely. The automatic spindle lock allows you to open and close chuck with one hand.Includes a high impact torque adjustment ring with a 24-position clutch for durabilbity and lighter weight. The patented slide in battery pack allows you to easily load-n-lock with one hand. Designed with a 2-speed transmission for matching power to the task. The R86006 has ergonomic overmold gripping areas which provides you with comfort and a better grip. The high capacity Lithium-Ion batteries allow for longer run time and more work per charge.

    Comment: This is a tough little drill! I've been using it all week building decks, and it has more than enough speed and torque to drive 3" screws all day long. The battery lasts 4-6 hours with real heavy use, and with a 30 minute charge time with 2 batteries included there's no down time with this tool. The LED light is actually a really nice feature, it's just what you need if you're under a deck or in a crawlspace. I'm also impressed with the overall quality & craftsmanship of the tool, it makes my boss's 18v DeWalt drill look like a piece of crap. On top of everything else it's incredibly light & compact for all the power it packs. Plus you really can't go wrong with the lifetime warranty, which absolutely makes it worth the extra couple bucks over a cheaper drill. Go with this one.

    Comment: I bought this drill to replace a drill for which I was disappointed with, and it was a fantastic buy. The drill is very light in weight and the battery provides plenty of power. Everything out of the box was in great shape and worked liked a dream. The storage bag and the light on the drill are nice perks. The drill has been accidentally dropped from atop high ladders to the ground and it continues to work flawlessly. Highly recommend this drill to any DIY and pro!

    Comment: I love this drill. It's light, but got enough power to do pretty much a standard install in my line of work, on one battery. If I have to do Wall finishes, the other battery is ready to go---and if it's a large job, by the time I have drained one, the other is charged.
    And the warranty thru Ridgid is better than any other manufacturer.

    Comment: I use this drill all the time for work as a Electrical Tech, this drill travels easy because of its compact size, but don't let the size fool you, it is pretty powerful and does a great job. I travel all over the United States and Canada with this drill and it fits in my portable tool case with ease. My other drill I have is too bulky to travel with. Rigid tools seem to be built tough and good quality.
    You won't be disappointed.

    Comment: Bought this drill and while back and have loved it. I build custom homes full time and do remodels also. I haven't thrown anything at this drill that it couldn't handle. Whether it's drilling through 2x joist material or doing more delicate work, this drill is up for it with no hesitations. Take it from a professional. This drill is worth getting. And you can't beat the lifetime service agreement.
