PorterCable does not make them anymore, and that is a shame because these are virtual boring machines! I have had mine since 2001, and it is so strong, you could drill a water well with it. Milwaukee may have the market for right angle drills, but this PorterCable version has them beat. I have used mine with extensions to make holes for 4 inch plumbing inside walls, down below floor level. Gotta hang on tight and not go too fast with the big hole saws, or it will catch and twist your arm. The 330 RPM with variable speed is great for these jobs. Milwaukee drills are faster, but this one is stronger ! Go PorterCable! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Porter-Cable 7556 1/2-Inch Right Angle Drill Kit (Tools & Home Improvement) We use this drill at a school to raise and lower our basketball hoops. Our last drill (the exact same model) was in service for 15 years. $269 was an unbelievable price on a drill that would cost almost 3 times the price at other retailers. |
