Summary: Milwaukee 12v Lithium Ion 2010-07-19
Comment: I really like the tools that this works with, my only complaint is that they don't last long between charges. They do recharge quickly (about a half hour), so, I just bought a spare battery to keep in my rotation.

Summary: Helpful info about M12 battery failure----- 2010-05-31
Comment: All 6 - yes 6! - of my original M12 batteries failed within several months to over a year after purchase and would not charge. I finally took them to the Milwaukee repair center as I knew they were warranted for 2 years. I took my receipts but they didn't even look at them. Popped them in a charger-and sure enough-bad. They replaced them all on the spot with no questions asked! I would recommend Milwaukee to anyone. I am hopeful that the new ones last like my other tools (including Bosch, Makita and DeWalt) and I will post an update if I have more problems-so far, so good-hopefully they have fixed whatever was causing failure. Go get yours replaced if they have failed. If you don't have a receipt, they can use the serial number for warranty. Hope this helps.

Summary: Not a Happy battery 2010-05-07
Comment: Milwaukee fails at quality control on this product, and doesn't seem to care either way.
I've had 2 in 5 batteries fail within a year, and even a third delivered defective. With a 60% probable failure rate, they may want to consider the value of China as a country with very cheap unskilled labor.
Thank you.

Summary: Li-ion battery 2010-03-30
Comment: I was disappointed to find out that the battery only lasts 3 - 4 hrs when playing the radio. I was further disappointed to find out that Milwaukee does not offer a power adaptor that powers the radio from the lighter in a car. They make a charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter, but not a power adaptor.

Summary: I screewed up and bought a tool without a battery and had to buy one. I got lucky and found this rebuilt one. 2010-01-30
Comment: this milwaukee 4811-2401 12v rechargable lithium-ion battery was used and refurbished like new. i am thrilled with it. i paid about an eighth of the cost of a new one, and it proforms better than the other new one i bought with my second drill-driver. What Ever You Do Don't Buy Any Of These Tools Without Batteries. The bateries cost more than the drill/drivers. By the time you buy a drill/driver, charger, and a battery you'll have close to four hundred dollars invested in what i think should be a fifty dollar tool.
