This Makita 3/8-Inch Cordless Angle Drill Kit is ideal for close-quarter drilling or driving, measuring only 4-1/2 inches from the tip of chuck to widest portion of tool body. It features variable speed (0 to 800 rpm) for controlled driving and pinpoint hole positioning, with a maximum tightening torque of 43.4-inch /pounds. It has a conveniently located reversing switch for easy screw removal, a keyless chuck for faster and easier bit installation and removal, and an electric brake to stop the chuck quickly. I tried a couple of those awful angle head adapters before I bought this. What a waste of time and money ! There is simply no comparison. This takes all the work out of it. You just slap a bit in its jaws and go to work. It fits just about anywhere. The gearing is about right for speed and torque. 9.6v doesn't supply a lot of power for heavy drilling but that's not what this is for. I have an 18v Milwaukee for that. I work with crews of eight to ten men and my angle drill has been popular as a borrow tool. Sometimes nothing else works. It has been dropped, over-torqued and just plain worked hard but keeps on ticking.
