This review is from: Makita 6019DWLE 7.2-Volt Ni-Cad 3/8-Inch Cordless Drill/Driver with ML702 Flashlight (Tools & Home Improvement) I am a professional model maker for a large toy company. I use all kind of power tools and machinery, and I find that this cordless drill is the best I've used. It's light weight, varied speed and has a replaceable, rechargeable battery - all important features. It's good for drilling and as a screwdriver too-the speed ranges are perfect. The flashlight is really powerful and uses the rechargeable battery too. The head swivels to point where needed. This set is about as perfect as you can buy. Normally I prefer a keyed chuck on a drill for tightness, but due to the smaller nature of this drill the keyless chuck works fine 90% of the time. By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) The drill is very strong for its size and the battery stays charge for a very long time. The 2 speeds are great for all projects. I have several larger battery powered drills but this is my favorite. I have 6 of these that get a lot of use and even the ones that are over 10 years old still work great. I highly recommend it for all jobs. I own a Makita 12 volt and a Bosch 18 volt drill. Yet for most of my quick projects arount the house I grab this drill. It is strong enough to run 2-3 inch drywall screws even if it is a little slow. As a drill it is sufficient. The reason I love it is it fits just perfectly into on of those metal ring hammer holders that is on my tool belt. The hammer holder functions like a holster. When I am on a ladder or in a difficult position the drill is right on my hip. I have tried my larger drills in holsters and it is a joke. This drill and the Bosch is the perfect combination. |
