This was a replacement for the original battery that didn't work and a second battery that was only holding half a charge. My husband says, "The drill is the best one I've ever owned and is well worth investing in a replacement battery."

I LOVE it! Send me another! This battery cost almost twice as much at Lowes even with my Veterans discount! Am ordering another from Amazon now. The drill, charger & flashlight that came with the original kit still work fine. Came from Lowes for around $150? at the time?.
Just the two batteries went dead after a couple of years or continuous recharging. "Typical and expected of rechargeable batteries".
But at this price and my "Amazon Prime" account w/free shipping - it was a "no brainer"! Ordered on Friday PM before Labor Day weekend - package arrived the following Tuesday afternoon. You just can't beat that! Plus - It's the original Hitachi battery in the manufacturers packaging.
Charged it up Tuesday night and have been building a woodshed for our winter firewood all week. It still has a full charge and has not seen the charger base since Tuesday night! Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!

My old batteries were not holding a charge. I ordered the new battery and it arrived quickly. Charged it and it has been working as it should.
