The DS14DFL comes with two 1.5Ah batteries that last approximately three times longer than NiMH or NiCd batteries, meaning you don't have to replace the batteries as often -- which will save you money. Hitachi's lithium ion batteries maintain a steady charge from the moment the trigger is pulled until it's time to recharge. For the full duration of the charge, you'll enjoy maximum performance.

The 2-speed transmission is controlled by a one-touch speed shift knob that lets you select between 0-400 or 0-1,200 RPMs. The DS14DFL is one of the most compact and lightweight cordless drills in its class, measuring just over 8-1/2 inches and weighing only 3-1/2 pounds. The new battery technology reduces the weight by approximately a pound, which lessens user fatigue and improves maneuverability in tight or overhead applications.
