It has a vertical level built in for drilling straight down, another "removable" one for drilling horizontally or for removing and using on a flat surface. It also has a magnetic tray for holding parts and screws. Don't lose the driver bits, they are better than you can usually find in a store. The drill has two speeds and an adjustable "drag" so you don't strip screws out. I really love it. The only problem is the batteries...Both of mine died completely within 1 week of each other after 1 year and I had to replace them. Replacements come with a 2-year warranty...hopefully I won't need it. Replacements are not cheap and are difficult to find if you dislike Home Depot, like I do. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Ryobi ZRP811 18-Volt Torque IV Drill Kit (Tools & Home Improvement) Positive: Batteries lasted 10 years of occasional use. They recharged quickly. (30 mins or so) Drill is well balanced and compact. A nice weight, however the battery doesn't have a large capacity - maybe 50 holes. Overall its good for the money but as they say, the pleasure of a cheap deal is soon forgotten long after the a pain of having an inadequate tool...or something like that. Negative: the chuck has always slipped when drilling anything that offers serious resistance. There is no way to tighten it sufficiently. Forget about drilling with spade bit. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By LM1000 "LM" (upstate NY) - See all my reviews This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Ryobi ZRP811 18-Volt Torque IV Drill Kit (Tools & Home Improvement) Had the Ryobi 18v Drill for just over a year. It worked "OK" but never seemed as powerful as some of my friends and co-workers drills. After about a year, it started making a grinding noise and then quit working a little while later. Its an OK drill if you want something to get a quick job around the house done, but I wouldn't trust it too last too long with regular use. |
