This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Milwaukee 2410-82 M12 12-Volt Cordless 3/8-Inch Driver/Drill Kit (Tools & Home Improvement) I bought this drill after my second old wonderful 9.6 volt Makita, which is no longer made, finally died. I chose this Milwaukee based on several excellent reviews on independent sites, viewing with caution one comment that says the drill bit can fall out. This tool is VERY light. Even lighter than expected. Amazingly so. And there is no wobble at all in the bit. So far so good. But what is it with the bit falling out? I am up on a ladder, outside, with the bit racheted in very tightly, testing out the drill when suddenly, between drilling, I look down and with no warning I have no bit. Climb down, look in the grass, no luck. I know the lawnmower will find it, and hopefully not put out someone's eye with the lost bit. Is this a flaw or is it a design on purpose to prevent over torqueing or something? Does anyone know? I will update this after I talk to Milwaukee. I have neen using this tool for a a while and I find it to be very good. It was rated the best 12 v drill/driver by Wood Magazine and that us why I purchased it, and I have not been disappointed. I find that the reconditioned tool is every bit as good as a new one.

This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Milwaukee 2410-82 M12 12-Volt Cordless 3/8-Inch Driver/Drill Kit (Tools & Home Improvement) I have used this drill over the last month and it is as awesome as you would expect for a 12-volt tool with a 3/8" chuck! It has replaced an old 12-volt Porter Cable which served many good years but began having clutch problems. This little baby is much lighter and has the umph to get the job done! It will not perform with the power of an 18-volt drill but is exceptionally handy around the home and for appropriate professional work. Coming with a charger and two batteries that recharge within about 20 minutes makes this unit efficient and very user friendly. The batteries are also interchangeable with my 12-volt Milwaukee Hackzall so it became a welcome addition. What I did notice is that these little batteries do not hold the charge when stored in the cold. If so, be sure to charge them up before you start work. |
