The heavy-duty, 18-volt, 1/2-inch drill/driver/hammer drill will do up to 2,000 rpm and 34,000 beats per minute, and can produce 450 inch-pounds of maximum sustained torque. The carbide-tipped chuck jaws have excellent bit grip. There's also an automatic spindle lock, as well as an antislip comfort grip. We were especially impressed with the balance of this hammer drill--its T-handle design distributes weight evenly so it's easy to hold, even over long periods of time, and the grips seem to work for people of all different hand sizes. The heavy-duty, 18-volt reciprocating saw offers a keyless blade clamp for quick blade changes, a pivoting shoe with an open top for maximum visibility, and a variable-speed trigger for blade control. The saw also has an electric brake. It's an accurate tool, and the grips--especially the front one--provide excellent user control. This reciprocating saw makes up to 2,800 spm, and has a 7/8-inch stroke length. It weighs only 6.5 pounds, and because it's cordless, there simply isn't a better option for working in tight spaces or above your head.
