The DeWalt DW5204 4-piece premium percussion masonry drill bit set is used primarily for drilling small diameter holes in masonry, concrete, rock, and artificial stone. DeWalt built each bit with a rock carbide tip that maximizes carbon surface contact for an extended bit life. And with the 4-flute design, the bits remove debris as you work for fast, efficient drilling. For added safety, each bit is designed with three flats on the shank that prevent the bit from slipping back into the chuck, and an innovative tip that reduces walking and increases accuracy. Used primarily to drill holes for mechanical anchors, these bits fit into standard 3/8-inch and 1/2-inch chucks. This 4-piece set includes the following bits: 3/16-by-3-inch, 1/4-by-4-inch, 5/16-by-6-inch, and 3/8-by-6-inch.

High quality masonry drill bits. They work like a charm with a high powered hammer drill. It took just a few seconds to drill two inches into concrete. They also work for drilling into brick and concrete cinder blocks. I bought these because it seems like most construction workers have a whole box of Dewalt brand items. They can't all be wrong.

I use those all the time. Still perform like new. Very durable. Highly recommend it.

I got these primarily so I could mount some signs on my stone pillars--into the stone, not mortar. It did okay on the first two holes (same stone), but on the next, it just wasn't cutting it. I switched to the 1/4" and it did a bit better, so I assume the bit just couldn't take it. Was a tad disappointed it couldn't manage more than two holes. It's possible I wasn't doing something right, so if you know better, then good for you. But for me it didn't quite work out. On the other hand, it does just fine in mortar, so your mileage may vary.
