Beware of the bit holder,

Beware of the bit holder included with this set--it will NOT release the bit easily. Not even with pliers! It's either bad tolerance in the manufacturing of the O-Ring that holds the bit, bad QC or simply bad design.
11-29-2010 Update: A DeWalt representative contacted me via email to explain the reason why the bit holder was designed this way. Evidently, a magnet by itself does not hold the bit well enough in impact drivers. The vibrations usually cause the bits to work itself loose. It evidently will loosen up a bit with use.
I can understand the reasoning, but how will I use any other bit on the holder when I can't get the last bit I put in out??? The rest of the set is very good, so I'm changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars with the caveat about the bit holder.

I am a part time contractor with 10 years of experience. I have owned lots of equipment thru the years. (usually due to udgrading to a better product) These bits are not as good as advertised. Several brand new bits out of these kits have twisted to the point they will not go into a screw. Several others have broke and at that point are sharp on the end. Using a standard bit set has proven to be less expensive and they actually last much longer. Dewalt states these are "IMPACT READY" but save your money they do not seem to be "ready" quite yet. I sent several bits there customer service center with a case# from Dewalt and have not gotten a response yet. I do highly recommended the entire line of 18Volt Cordless Dewalt tools, but the accessories have not been as good. Added this note below 12/12/08 >>>>>> After a week or so they did replace broken bits and a drill bit thru the mail, but offered no explanation as to why they where defective.

i notice these have been getting some bad reviews,but i am completely happy with this set.Just used them to drive some Tapcon screws into the brick of my house and they worked great...now i will say that i broke some screws but the bits never even slipped once or twisted and i was using the long philips bit,so if you are a die hard Dewalt fan like myself you can have confidence in this set.
