I bought this after many years of frustrations driving screws with our hefty drill and struggling to keep the drill steady and the screws at the appropriate angle. I'm a petite woman, and I'm pretty handy, but there are certain limitations that come with height and arm span. This magnetic drive set helps to close that gap! I have used it for household chores as well as woodworking and plan to add more bits to my set to use with more projects. This would be a GREAT stocking stuffer for the handy person in your life.

I have a friend who does contract work and he recommended screw guides. I've never used them before. I just do around the house stuff, but man, what a difference these make when you are in an awkward position trying to hold something overhead and secure it at the same time. You can do some jobs by yourself that would've taken someone else to help hold. I highly recommend these!

These screw guides DO work. They will hold your screws so you can hold on to a ladder with your other hand. My problem is with the longevity of the product. Under constant use in a construction environment they only last a couple of days before falling apart and/ or getting stuck. The little spring clips that hold them together come dislodged and the friction on the tubes wears the device out very quickly.
They are far to expensive for a tool that lasts only few days on the job. If they were only a couple of dollars I could see it but...
Dewalt seems to be marketing their products as "Contractor Grade" but I would expect a professional grade product to last a few months at least!!
On the other hand I haven't found any other brand to make a significantly better product so, if you need these you may just have to pony up.
