DEWALTs new 12 Volt MAX lithium ion impact driver and impact wrench, at just over two pounds, is a small, lightweight tool ideal for cabinetmakers and HVAC professionals, as well as electrical, mechanical, and general contractors who perform overhead fastening applications. Both products incorporate a contoured handle design and three LED lights that eliminate shadows on work surfaces. Maximum initial battery pack voltage (measured without a workload) is 12 volts, and when measured under a workload, nominal voltage is 10.8.

The Dewalt DCF813 is small,allowing it to get into confined places,lightweight and comfortable to handle.The
largest bolt I can break loose with it is 1/4"(7/16 hex),or 5/16(1/2 hex),if it's not rusty.This is
about what I expected from a impact this size. I break bolts loose with a ratchet,then use the impact to spin them off.When installing,I spin them on with the impact and do the final tightening with a ratchet
or torque wrench. So basically,I use it like a modern version of a Speeder Handle,and it works good for this.

First off I should say that I am not a professional in any field that would use this tool, so my comments are made from the standpoint of a layman making casual use of this product. That said, I am very happy with the performance and quality of this impact wrench.

The product itself has a nice, solid feel to it. The grip is comfortable and both the trigger and the switch to change the direction of the drill are conveniently placed. The body is sturdy and light enough for continual use. Two battery packs came with the unit so that you can always have a fully-charged battery to use. The pack slides on a locks easily, and removal is the same way.

As for performance, I feel the wrench has enough torque to get most normal jobs done. Start-up to full-speed is instantaneous when depressing the trigger all the way, and it also has a nice control over the variable speed aspect although the instructions caution against varying the speed too often because that will...Read more

This wrench sure does make the job easier. I have used this from fixing the nobs on my cabinets to changing the nuts on a tire.It has a very strong battery and lasts a long time.This is very convenient and durable. I have used this tool to make a soapbox car and it came in handy for the nuts and bolts. great little wrench.
