The DCD690Kl features two distinct modes for project-specific performance--a low mode that delivers 0 to 500 RPM for 310 inch-pounds of torque and a high mode that delivers 0 to 1,500 RPM for 80 inch-pounds of torque. With a 3/8-inch plastic, ratcheting chuck, this drill/driver has a durable, right angle transmission with sealed ball bearing for a longer tool life and 320 unit watts out of maximum power for heavy-duty applications such as turning large bits and fasteners. Weighing only 3.9 pounds with the battery, the lightweight design minimizes user fatigue.

It's powered by DEWALT's compact li-ion batteries, which are compatible with the existing system of DEWALT 18-volt power tools produced since 1996.
Warranty


This DEWALT tool is backed by three-year limited warranty covering any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship (from the date of purchase). It's also covered by DEWALT's one-year free service contract, where DEWALT will maintain the tool and replace worn parts caused by normal use--for free.

I ordered this Right angle drill because I've got several applications that a normal drill or even an impact driver just can't sweeze into the tight spots. I've used Dewalt before and found them to be of good quality but this baby is sweet! It's got alot more torque than I expected and once I get the sqeeze lever type trigger down I'll be able to really get these projects done quickly. Overall I'd reccoment this product to my friends. Before adapting an 18v tool set, I studied all of the available angle drills (which aren't many) and this one came on top. It didn't disappoint. It has plenty of torque at the low speed to drill 1 inch holes, and enough speed at the high end for the small ones. I now have a long line of Dewalt 18v tools and they are all pretty good.

The only con I find with the Dewalt tool is that they have no "fuel gauge", so the only way to tell that you need to replace the battery is when the tool begins to bog down.

This drill works great in tight situations. As an added benefit, the LI batteries will fit my older Nicad powered Dewalt tools bringing them extra life.
