Product Review

Run by DeWalt's NANO battery technology and providing 650 unit watts of max. power, the cordless DC910KL 1/2-Inch Hammerdrill/Drill/Driver is a versatile, easy-to-handle tool. Featuring a dependable, all-metal transmission, this drill driver lets you choose from three speed settings for job-specific performance. Select 0 to 400 RPM for low-speed, high-torque jobs, 0-1,600 RPM for fast performance, or 0-1,200 RPM for in-between jobs. It also offers three hammer drilling speed settings that put up to 27,700 BPM to work for you, and provides 22 clutch settings, so you can maintain control and have confidence in your work. A 1/2-inch, self-tightening chuck prevents bits from slipping or moving by getting tighter as you work, and an ergonomic design helps you stay comfortable.

Surprisingly light at just 6.25 pounds, this tool is easy to maneuver and it keeps operator fatigue to a minimum. A 360-degree handle and heavy-duty kit box for easy transport and storage are included in this kit, along with a one-hour charger and two 28-volt NANO-Phosphate Lithium Ion batteries. These batteries are lighter than traditional batteries, and they offer both extended run time and longer overall tool life with up to 2,000 recharges per battery.

I've had this drill for a few years now and have used it extensively in heavy duty applications. It provides all the power of the larger plug-in drills I've used, and I've never been able to find a job difficult enough to even slow it down.

The lithium ion battery is very powerful, light for it's size, and lasts forever, even after years of use. It comes with two batteries and charges quickly, so you will never run out of juice during a job. By the time the battery you're using runs out - even if you're using it constantly - the new battery will be recharged.

Technology has finally brought us a cordless that is better than corded drills in every way.

I have not used it extensively as a hammerdrill, but when I have, it has performed well.

This is far and away my favorite tool, and i have a feeling i'll be passing it down to a grandchild.

Compared to my old 18-volt drill from another reputable company, this DeWalt 28-volt heavy-duty hammer drill is like comparing a small 4-cylinder pickup to an H1 Humvee.

It is well designed and fairly light plus the batteries recharge a lot faster than the Ni-Cad ones which I had been using. The other great benefit is that if left unused for a few days the batteries do not discharge.

While this is drill is more than I actually need as a homeowner, I would not hesitate recommending it if you want the best.
