Go the extra dollar and buy the Extreme batteries. I have purchased both and the extreme last longer on a charge and have a longer total life then the cheaper ones.

The FS18BX has a third terminal allowing it to fast charge on the one-hour chargers. The FS180BX batteries do not have the third terminal, so they charge at a six hour rate on fast chargers.

This is also true for the FS12BX/FS120BX batteries, as well as the FS14BX and FS140BX batteries, and the FS24BX and FS240BX batteries.

All the power and none of the cords. My weedeater and chainsaw both run on these batteries and, while the chainsaw runs it dead in short order, the weedeater runs for a solid 20-30 minutes before having to change batteries. I keep 6 of them fully charged for any job. Sure beats gassing up or plugging in.
