This battery is now my go to battery over my original batteries and my first replacements which were bluecore. I never compared it to a brand new bluecore but the price on these makes it hard to justify going with the OEM, especially since these are Ni-MH. I just wish Bosch would offer a Lithium Ion replacement battery rather than make people buy a whole new tool set. I have way too many tools based on this style to warrant switching over just for a better battery.

"...other products by Bosch..." Would lead you to believe that the item was built by Bosch. Nowhere in the Description or Technical specs does it say that it is an unbranded, no-name battery pack proudly displaying "Made in China". Arrives in an unmarked plain brown wrapper, no receipt or billing info included (wondered what my teenager was trying to get away with...). Appears to hold a charge and runs at least as long as the original Bosch pack...time will tell what the durability is. The originals lasted six years...the 3000mAh claim seduced me...darn it. Four stars because it works. Still PO'd about the bogus description.

UPDATE: August 6, 2011 - Have used battery alongside a new Bosch Blue-Core bat purchased at same time. The Bosch is still taking and holding a charge well...this piece of junk is fading fast...slow to take a charge, quick to lose a charge...no staying power while using. It was a good experiment.
