The battery I purchased was for a Milwaukee screw gun. Now certainly, this was a tough decision. Revitalize a ten year old Milwaukee screw gun or go out and purchase a new one? To my delight, the new battery made the drill like new. I think that even a ten year old Milwaukee is superior to a new japanese made product. The drill is once again powerful and a force to be reckoned with. Is 14.40 v. drill sufficient with the new and more powerful drills out there? I think so. The Verdict? If you have a tool that is arguably pound per pound, the best there is, and you want to forego purchasing a new one, buy it. I believe I purchased a Force drill (no name or depot name) for about the price of the battery for my office. That's certainly enough to give pause. What's best for you may not be best for me. Good luck.

Be aware these batteries are made in China, they are Milwaukee knock offs and look it. They fit in my drill OK but require a little determination to get them to charge in my Milwaukee charger, must be slid down with a little force. To be fair I have not put them to a real heavy test yet but I think if I replace them in the future I will order the more expensive Milwaukee's. Time will tell, if they perform as my originals and last only half as long then perhaps the price is worth it.

Took a chance ordering this battery for my Milwaukee but it's hard to find just batteries minus the actual cordless drill. I was extremely pleased with the product and the price.
