I don't use my Makita chainsaw much so the batteries go way before the little unit will fail.This is about the 6th replacement pack I have bought and it is the cheapest and as good as any before.A good deal for me.

Purchased for my old drill - which came with two batteries one of which was completely no longer rechargeable. This battery fit into the drill perfectly and charges right up - my only criticism is that overall the exterior part of the battery is slightly larger than the original and does not fit in the hard case with the drill - i.e. I can't close the case, which if I planned to carry it around, would be inconvenient.

I purchased two of these batteries for my Makita drills and after charging them they worked fine. That was one month ago and now neither of them will hold a charge which makes them a very expensive battery replacement. I don't recommend them.
